Mumbai (Showbiz Desk) — India’s popular web series “Mirzapur” has proven its popularity on the big screen as well, with the film adaptation “Mirzapur: The Movie” achieving impressive business in Indian cinemas on its very first day of release.
Starring a cast of renowned actors including Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, and Divyenndu, the film was released in cinemas on September 4, 2026. The film received an enthusiastic response from audiences even during the advance ticket sales.
According to the report, the film earned more than 250 million Indian rupees on its first day. The positive response from critics and audiences also played an important role in the film’s popularity and business.
The film’s first-day earnings are also being reported to be higher than the opening earnings of recent Indian films “Awarapan 2,” “Dhamal 4,” “Welcome to the Jungle,” and “Bhoot Bangla.”
“Mirzapur: The Movie” has been directed by Gurmmeet Singh, while the story has been written by Puneet Krishna.
