Lahore (Sports Desk) Following the surprising changes in the Pakistan cricket team, the crisis intensified further when senior selector, National Cricket Academy consultant and coach Misbah-ul-Haq resigned from his position and parted ways with the Pakistan Cricket Board following differences with the PCB.
Misbah-ul-Haq sent his resignation to the Pakistan Cricket Board via email. He has also decided to step down from his position as batting consultant at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
The PCB had appointed Misbah-ul-Haq as a selector alongside Sarfaraz Ahmed. Imam-ul-Haq, a central figure in the Lord’s Test controversy, quietly arrived in Lahore and left the departure lounge under security while wearing a mask.
Mohammad Rizwan, who returned to Pakistan from London with Imam-ul-Haq, took a flight from Doha to Islamabad and also quietly returned home.
According to sources, Misbah-ul-Haq, a member of the Pakistan cricket team’s selection committee, has sent his resignation to the Pakistan Cricket Board and will serve a one-month notice period. Misbah-ul-Haq resigned from his position after not being consulted regarding the players sent for the tour of England.
According to sources close to Misbah-ul-Haq, the former captain has decided to leave the selection committee; however, further details regarding the reasons for his resignation and the formal submission of his resignation have not yet emerged.
Misbah-ul-Haq’s notice period has begun. He has informed the PCB about the notice period and will leave the board after completing the period.
