Gaza (Monitoring Desk): According to the Palestinian Ministry of Education, more than 20,500 school and university students have been killed during Israeli attacks in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
According to the report, those killed include 19,189 school students and 1,386 university students, while 28,586 school students and 3,082 university students have been injured.
The Israeli attacks have also severely damaged Gaza’s education sector. A total of 805 school employees and 246 university teachers have been killed, while thousands have been injured.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Education, more than 179 government schools, 105 schools run by the United Nations agency UNRWA, and 63 university buildings have been destroyed or damaged by the bombing.
Palestinian authorities say that more than 74,000 people have been killed in Gaza overall during the war.
