California (Web Desk) – A new report claiming that SpaceX is developing an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered smart device has sparked debate in the technology world, although CEO Elon Musk has denied the claims.
According to the report, an early prototype of the device was allegedly presented to investors and shareholders. It is said to feature an ultra-thin design similar to modern smartphones, but its primary focus would be on AI capabilities rather than traditional mobile functions.
The report further claims that SpaceX may in the future introduce AI-based hardware for consumers, potentially competing with major tech companies such as Apple.
It is also alleged that the device would run on a custom operating system instead of Android or iOS, and could include Qualcomm processors along with models from xAI.
Additional claims suggest the project may integrate Musk’s “super app” concept, combining messaging, payments, shopping, ride-hailing, and other digital services on a single platform.
However, Elon Musk has denied the report, fueling further speculation about the rumored project.
