Quetta (Sports Desk) Arzu Haider, a national-level female karate athlete and gold medalist at the National Games, has passed away.
According to the Secretary of Sports, the athlete was injured after falling from a scooter and was immediately shifted to a private hospital; however, she could not survive.
Reports state that Arzu Haider was on her way to Ayub Stadium to participate in a karate championship when the accident occurred during her journey.
The Secretary of Sports said that the deceased had won both gold and silver medals at the National Games and had recently been under medical treatment.
