Speaking on an Indian TV program, Nawazuddin Siddiqui strongly criticized contemporary films, calling them fake. He stated that artificial stories are shaping the direction of Hindi cinema, while audiences are increasingly recognizing the reality behind these stories.
He emphasized that society does not need to be misled, and truth is of utmost importance, noting that people today are well aware of reality. According to him, the background of the films being made is known to everyone, but it is rarely discussed openly.
During the program, the actor was also asked whether filmmakers should guide society through cinema in the context of current global tensions, to which he stressed the importance of truth-based storytelling.
