Tel Aviv (Monitoring Desk): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected claims that Israel is diplomatically isolated, disagreeing with a recent statement by U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who suggested that the United States is Israel’s only major ally.
In an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu said he respects JD Vance and enjoys a good relationship with him, but that does not mean he agrees with all of his views.
Rejecting the perception of Israel’s diplomatic isolation, Netanyahu said that Israel maintains strong relations with several countries beyond the United States.
Referring to India, he said the country, with a population of 1.4 billion, is an important friend of Israel and provides strong support.
The Israeli prime minister stressed that Israel has numerous international partnerships and should not be viewed as relying solely on the support of one country.
