Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar) — Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has said that no preparations by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are visible regarding the protest scheduled for October 4.
Speaking to the media in Parliament, Attaullah Tarar said that backchannel contacts with the PTI had continued in the past and could continue in the future as well.
He said the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was poor and that terrorist incidents in the province had increased.
The information minister said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had completely failed to deal with terrorism.
Attaullah Tarar further said it would be premature at this stage to say anything about the imposition of governor’s rule or any other possible measure.
