California (Web Desk) — Renowned technology company OpenAI has announced a major development in the field of artificial intelligence by introducing its new flagship model, GPT-6 Astra, which the company has described as its most advanced and capable technology to date.
According to OpenAI, GPT-6 Astra is capable of handling complex professional tasks, advanced software engineering, automated computer use, research, document creation and solving difficult problems. In addition to web browsing and working directly in software environments, the model can also create websites, web applications and games.
The company says Astra has been designed to perform complex tasks involving following multi-step instructions, understanding users’ needs and making accurate decisions according to the situation. According to OpenAI, the new model can complete tasks more efficiently than previous technologies.
Cybersecurity-related capabilities have also been highlighted as an important feature of GPT-6 Astra. According to the company, the model can, in certain circumstances, detect previously unknown security vulnerabilities and carry out complex technical operations related to them. For this reason, additional safety measures were implemented during its development and launch.
OpenAI has described the new model as an important step toward achieving artificial general intelligence, or AGI. However, experts continue to debate the precise definition of AGI and whether current artificial intelligence models meet that standard.
The new model is being made available in phases, while according to OpenAI, GPT-6 Astra will gradually be provided to different users and developers.
