Overseas Pakistanis Invest Over $12 Billion Through Roshan Digital Accounts

Karachi (Commerce Desk) Confidence of overseas Pakistanis in the national economy remains strong, as a total of $12.747 billion has been received through the Roshan Digital Account scheme up to April 2026.

According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, the initiative is playing a key role in attracting investment from overseas Pakistanis and strengthening the country’s foreign exchange reserves.

The central bank reported that $205.6 million has been repatriated abroad through these accounts, while $8.147 billion has been utilized within Pakistan across various sectors.

The net repatriable liability under the scheme stood at $2.544 billion.

From November 2020 to April 2026, net cumulative investment through Roshan Digital Accounts was recorded at $1.833 billion, reflecting strong confidence from overseas Pakistanis.

In terms of investment categories, Islamic Naya Pakistan Certificates remained the most popular, attracting $1.155 billion, while conventional Naya Pakistan Certificates received $555 million.

Additionally, $123 million was invested through Roshan Equity Investments.

According to economic experts, the Roshan Digital Account program has not only provided overseas Pakistanis with a secure and convenient investment platform but has also played an important role in strengthening Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves.
