Rawalpindi (Sports Desk): England cricket team head coach Brendon McCullum has said Pakistan are a strong side and playing against them in their home conditions will not be easy. He added that England must adopt an aggressive approach while adapting to changing conditions.
Speaking at a press conference in Rawalpindi, McCullum said he was delighted to be back in Pakistan. He has visited the country several times over the past few years and has always had the opportunity to experience excellent cricket here.
He said the people of Pakistan were extremely hospitable and the overall atmosphere in the country was wonderful.
The England head coach said both Pakistan and Sri Lanka were strong teams, but Pakistan would have the advantage of playing on home soil and in familiar conditions. In such circumstances, England would need to adjust its strategy during matches in response to changing conditions.
McCullum further said that understanding the conditions and adapting accordingly would be essential for success in the tri-nation series. Competing against Sri Lanka in its own conditions would also be challenging, he added, meaning England would need to approach every match with thorough preparation and an appropriate strategy.
