According to the US news website Axios, Pakistan, Qatar, Türkiye, Egypt and Saudi Arabia are playing a role in reducing differences between the United States and Iran and helping restore the negotiation process.
The report stated that mediating countries are engaged in diplomatic contacts to restart nuclear talks, while efforts are also continuing to revive technical-level discussions between the two countries.
According to Axios, mediating countries are working to keep the reconciliation process active. Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi contacted Field Marshal Asim Munir by phone, during which he maintained that US attacks were violations of the agreement.
According to the report, despite the tensions, US President Donald Trump wants a diplomatic solution to the dispute and seeks to continue technical negotiations related to the nuclear agreement.
The US media report said that recent diplomatic efforts have resulted in some reduction in tensions between the United States and Iran.
Earlier, a US official had stated that despite the attacks, negotiations between the two countries were continuing. The United States remains determined to reach a possible solution with Iran.
According to the US official, technical-level talks with Iran are ongoing. Although military tensions between the two countries remain, diplomatic contacts and negotiation efforts are also continuing to find a peaceful solution to the dispute.
