Lahore (Sports Desk): The national team management has begun preparing an initial strategy for the first Test against England, taking into account the grassy pitch and forecast of rain in Leeds.
According to sources, a proposal is under consideration to field four specialist fast bowlers alongside seven specialist batters in the first Test.
Due to the grassy pitch, the chances of including Sajid Khan or Ali Usman in the team are considered low, while the management is also hopeful about the availability of Babar Azam and Shan Masood.
Sources said the final decision on the participation of both players will be made after today’s practice session.
Following the first practice session, separate meetings were also held for the batters and bowlers, during which the bowlers were shown videos of English batters and the batters were shown videos of English bowlers to discuss strategy.
