Pakistan was designated as the Country of Honour at the 10th World Drone Congress in Shenzhen, an event featuring participants from over 120 countries. Bilal Bin Saqib, Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA), represented the nation and delivered an address on the future of autonomous systems.
Saqib highlighted that combining drone technology with blockchain and digitalization can revolutionize logistics, supply chain management, smart cities, and emergency response systems by boosting safety, efficiency, and transparency.
He emphasized that Pakistan is actively developing a forward-looking regulatory framework for virtual assets to support innovation and its broader digital economy.
Saqib expressed optimism that the deep integration of drones and digital assets will foster cross-border collaboration and drive the next major wave of global industrial innovation.
