ISLAMABAD (Pakistan News): Pakistan and Oman have agreed to further strengthen trade, investment, and high-level relations.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi in Manila on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF 2026). During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on bilateral relations, regional developments, and various areas of mutual cooperation.
During the meeting, both leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive progress in cooperation between Pakistan and Oman.
Both sides agreed to promote high-level engagements, increase trade and investment, expand people-to-people contacts, strengthen relations between business communities, and enhance continued cooperation at global and regional forums.
Ishaq Dar and the Omani Foreign Minister also discussed regional and global issues. The Omani Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s positive role in promoting dialogue, reducing tensions, and contributing to peace and security in the region.
Both leaders expressed concern over recent developments in the region and emphasized the need for joint efforts to maintain ceasefires, respect international laws, and achieve lasting peace and stability.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Pakistan and Oman reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination on matters of mutual interest.
