Pakistan played key role in Iran–US ceasefire: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

Gilgit-Baltistan (Pakistan News) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan played a key role in the continuation of the ceasefire between Iran and the United States and in maintaining peace in the region.

While addressing a ceremony in Gilgit-Baltistan, the Prime Minister said that continuous day-and-night contact was maintained with both Iran and the United States, which helped extend the ceasefire. He expressed hope that the ceasefire will remain sustainable and peace will be established in the region.

He said that until Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are fully included in the development process, overall progress of Pakistan is not possible. He assured that he will continue visiting Gilgit-Baltistan as Prime Minister.

On the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation of four Danish schools in Gilgit-Baltistan, while also inaugurating free solar panels, Safe City Gilgit, and Safe City Skardu projects.

He also distributed laptops among students under the Prime Minister Youth Program and encouraged the youth to move forward in the fields of education and technology.
