Islamabad (Pakistan News): Pakistan has strongly rejected the Indian Ministry of External Affairs’ statement regarding actions against terrorists in Afghanistan, calling the allegations fabricated and baseless.
Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said the Indian statement is contrary to facts and that Pakistan is carrying out legitimate operations against terrorist infrastructure in Afghanistan.
He said India is continuously suppressing the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, while also supporting terrorist groups operating against Pakistan from Afghan soil. According to him, India itself uses Afghan territory against Pakistan.
The Foreign Office said India is damaging peace and stability in the region by violating United Nations Security Council resolutions, and therefore its baseless allegations and provocative statements should not be given importance at the international level.
The spokesperson further said that it is ironic for a country that interferes in the internal affairs of neighboring states to issue such statements.
The Foreign Office reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to taking all necessary measures under international law for the safety and protection of its citizens.
