ISLAMABAD (Pakistan News): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb held an important meeting with John Jovanovic, President and Chairman of the U.S. Export-Import Bank (EXIM Bank), during his visit to Washington D.C., where detailed discussions were held on further strengthening economic and trade relations between Pakistan and the United States.
During the meeting, discussions focused on securing financial support for long-term development projects, promoting U.S. investment, and enhancing cooperation in various agricultural and commercial sectors, including cotton, soybeans, and hydrocarbons.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb appreciated EXIM Bank’s proposed framework for priority projects, a multi-year financial cooperation mechanism, and proposals to improve access to U.S. financial support, advanced technology, equipment, and services.
He said that these developments would play an important role in further strengthening the economic partnership between Pakistan and the United States.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to move forward on short-term financial matters, appoint focal persons to improve coordination, and finalize the proposed strategic framework at the earliest.
