Berlin (Pakistan News): A welcoming ceremony was held in honour of President Asif Ali Zardari at the German Ministry of Defence, where he was presented with a guard of honour and the national anthems of both countries were played.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier welcomed President Asif Ali Zardari upon his arrival at the German Ministry of Defence. A formal reception ceremony was organised in his honour on the occasion.
President Asif Ali Zardari is visiting Germany at the invitation of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The visit is significant because it marks the first visit to Germany by a Pakistani head of state in 23 years.
This year, Pakistan and Germany are also celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During the visit, the president will hold meetings with his German counterpart and senior government officials, accompanied by a high-level Pakistani delegation. The discussions will cover bilateral relations, regional and global developments, and ways to promote economic and trade cooperation, among other matters.
President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit is expected to help further strengthen relations between Pakistan and Germany and open new avenues for cooperation in various fields.
