Lahore (Sports Desk) — Pakistan’s contingent for the Commonwealth Games will consist of 36 athletes and officials.
Pakistani athletes will participate in boxing, athletics, swimming, gymnastics, judo, and lawn bowls events at the Commonwealth Games, while Major General Adil Rehmani will serve as the Chief de Mission of the Pakistani contingent.
In athletics events, Arshad Nadeem, Faeeqa Riaz, Ansar Abbas, Muhammad Akhtar, Muhammad Ismail, Muhammad Yasir, and Noreen Hussain will represent Pakistan.
In boxing, Afzal Khan, Fatima Zahra, Malaika Zahid, Qudratullah, and Sumama Rehman will compete for Pakistan.
At the Commonwealth Games, Shehzad Ali will participate in gymnastics, Shah Hussain in judo, while Maqsood, Waseem Khan, and Muhammad Ayub Qureshi will represent Pakistan in lawn bowls.
In addition, Hamza Asif, Hareem Malik, Jahan Ara Nabi, and Muhammad Ahmed Durrani will take part in swimming events.
It is worth mentioning that the Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 2.
