Tehran (Monitoring Desk) Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for the establishment of peace in the region have intensified, as Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir arrived in Iran along with a high-level delegation, where important meetings were held. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi received the Field Marshal upon his arrival in Tehran, while Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was also accompanying him.
According to sources, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held a meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister, during which the regional situation and peace efforts were discussed. The Iranian leadership described the visit as an important step toward strengthening bilateral relations and diplomatic progress.
The Iranian Foreign Minister stated that hosting the dialogue process reflects the strong ties between the two countries and demonstrates a shared commitment to peace and stability in the region. Reports suggest that the Pakistani delegation is playing an important role in efforts to revive talks between the United States and Iran, while the exchange of messages between the two countries is also ongoing.
Sources say that the next phase of negotiations is expected to take place in Islamabad in the coming days, where significant progress is anticipated.
