Islamabad (Commerce Desk) — Pakistan’s IT and digital services sector is witnessing rapid growth, creating new opportunities in the global market.
Pakistan’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector has emerged as one of the fastest-growing IT export industries. During the first 11 months of the fiscal year 2025-26, export earnings from BPO and call centers exceeded $300 million.
According to the State Bank, call center exports increased from $269 million to $322 million during July to May, registering a 19% annual growth, which reflects rising global demand.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has made customer support operations more efficient, enabling Pakistani service providers to become more competitive globally. AI-based advanced solutions are bringing significant changes to the outsourcing industry through automation, faster customer services, and data analytics.
Around 90% of Pakistan’s call centers and BPO companies provide services to overseas customers and earn foreign exchange for the country.
With improved digital infrastructure, policy support, and the development of skilled human resources, the BPO sector has the potential to create extensive employment opportunities for young people. Through advanced technology, trained workforce, and modern digital infrastructure, Pakistan is strengthening its position in the global IT economy.
