Karachi (Commerce Desk) — A significant increase has been recorded in Pakistan’s exports, which reached $30.139 billion in 2025-26, compared with $20.787 billion in 2015-16, representing overall growth of 45 percent.
Chief Coordinator of the All Pakistan Exporters Associations Forum Javed Bilwani welcomed the Prime Minister’s special focus on promoting exports and said that regular consultative meetings between the government and exporters play an important role in resolving industrial issues and improving the country’s export competitiveness.
He said that the continued consultative meetings with exporters chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are commendable, as exports and industrial development are among the government’s key priorities.
According to Javed Bilwani, the Prime Minister had pointed out the underperformance of certain specific export sectors while addressing the stock market. However, reports appearing in the media created the impression that the entire export industry had failed to increase exports, which does not accurately reflect the performance of the overall sector.
He said the Prime Minister has always prioritized export-oriented industrial development and regularly holds meetings with representatives of the export industry.
He said the Prime Minister’s focus on increasing exports, improving product quality and strengthening industrial competitiveness is an important policy priority.
Javed Bilwani said exporters are also aware of the fact that Pakistan needs more exports, investment, value addition and better competitiveness in global markets.
He appreciated the continued communication between the Prime Minister and exporters and said regular consultations would help resolve industrial issues and further strengthen the country’s export capacity.
