Peshawar (Pakistan News): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that peaceful protest is the right of every citizen, but violence, vandalism and damage to public or private property cannot be allowed under the pretext of protest.
During his visit to the Federal Constabulary Training Centre in Shabqadar, Charsadda, he inspected anti-riot wing training exercises and praised the professional capabilities and operational preparedness of the personnel.
Mohsin Naqvi said the state would fulfill its responsibility to maintain law and order, and those taking the law into their own hands would be dealt with according to the law. He said the Federal Constabulary has a highly important role in maintaining law and order.
The federal minister directed that personnel be provided with modern training, protective gear and gas masks, saying the force must remain fully prepared to deal with every kind of challenge.
He also directed improvements to sports facilities at the FC headquarters, construction of a world-class swimming pool and renovation of personnel washrooms
