Petrol Levy Reaches Rs80 Per Liter After Increase

Lahore (Commerce Desk): The government has increased the petroleum levy on petrol by Rs9.36 per liter, following which the levy rate on petrol has once again reached Rs80 per liter.

According to sources, before the increase, the petroleum levy on petrol was Rs70.36 per liter. The rise in petroleum levy is expected to further increase the financial burden on the public as it directly affects the overall prices of petroleum products.

Meanwhile, after petrol and diesel, the government has also increased the price of kerosene oil. The price of kerosene oil has been increased by Rs11.19 per liter, after which the new price has been fixed at Rs242.33 per liter, while it was previously available at Rs231.14 per liter.

The government has made no change in the petroleum levy imposed on high-speed diesel, which remains unchanged at Rs70.82 per liter.

It should be noted that the government recently increased the price of petrol by Rs13.18 per liter and diesel by Rs13.80 per liter, after which the new price of petrol was fixed at Rs310.71 per liter and diesel at Rs323.30 per liter.
