Islamabad (Pakistan News): Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held an important meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong at the Prime Minister’s House. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi, and the Foreign Secretary.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated the Chinese leadership on the successful conclusion of the “Two Sessions” and expressed gratitude for the Pakistan Day greetings conveyed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing CPEC Phase II under agriculture, industrial cooperation, and infrastructure development.
Ambassador Jiang Zedong appreciated Pakistan’s economic resilience and reform efforts, assuring continued cooperation in trade and investment. Both sides expressed satisfaction with ongoing engagements and agreed to enhance contacts on the occasion of the 75th anniversary.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif highlighted Pakistan’s constructive role in reducing regional tensions and promoting stability. He also reiterated the commitment to close coordination on matters of mutual interest and to a sustainable Pakistan-China strategic partnership.
