Islamabad (Pakistan News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his commitment to work together with the newly elected government of Gilgit-Baltistan for the development and welfare of the people of the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain, during which various matters related to the region, development projects, and public issues were discussed.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated Amjad Hussain on assuming the office of Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the federal government will provide full cooperation to the newly elected government for the betterment of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. He said the federal government is working on development projects in renewable energy, tourism, infrastructure, health, education, and other sectors in the region.
He stated that major federal projects include a 100-megawatt solar energy project and the establishment of Danish Schools, while plans are also being made to establish a Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Markaz in Gilgit for public convenience.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema also attended the meeting.
