PM Shehbaz Sharif Announces Support for China’s Peace Agenda, Holds High-Level Meetings in Beijing

Islamabad (Pakistan News) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan fully supports Chinese President Xi Jinping’s four-point peace agenda and continues to appreciate efforts aimed at promoting regional peace.

The Prime Minister, along with his delegation, arrived at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, where Chinese Premier Li Qiang warmly welcomed him. The two leaders shook hands, national anthems were played, and a guard of honor was presented on the occasion.

During the meeting, both sides introduced their delegations and held detailed discussions on bilateral relations, regional developments, and economic cooperation.

Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Chinese leadership and said every visit to China provides a glimpse of development and progress, adding that Pakistan-China friendship continues to grow stronger with time. He also expressed condolences over a coal mine incident in China’s Shanxi province.

He said Pakistan and China are marking 75 years of diplomatic friendship, which reflects the vision of their founding leaders.

On regional issues, the Prime Minister said Pakistan has made diplomatic efforts at various levels for peace and continues to play its role in ensuring regional stability.

He reiterated full support for President Xi Jinping’s four-point peace agenda and stressed that joint efforts are essential for lasting peace in the region.

During the visit, the Prime Minister is also scheduled to meet the Chinese President, witness the signing of agreements and MoUs, and meet representatives of Chinese investors and companies.

He will also visit Tiananmen Square to lay a floral wreath at the Monument to the People’s Heroes.
