PM Shehbaz Sharif Opens Google Office in Pakistan

Islamabad (Web Desk) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated Google’s new office in Pakistan and, during a meeting with Google Vice President Wilson and his team, discussed promoting digital technology in the country, creating new opportunities for young people and expanding bilateral cooperation.

The Prime Minister welcomed the Google delegation to Pakistan, saying Google is among the world’s leading technology companies and that Pakistan offers significant opportunities for the company. He said Google’s presence in Pakistan marks the beginning of a new and important journey between the two sides.

Google Vice President Wilson said the company seeks a long-term partnership with Pakistan. According to him, digital technology needs to be further promoted in the country so that young people can benefit fully from modern technology and the digital economy.

Later, the Prime Minister inaugurated Google’s Pakistan office. On the occasion, he said Google could play an important role in the development of Pakistani youth and the technology sector.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized expanding cooperation between Pakistan and Google and said the government would continue efforts to promote digital technology and equip young people with modern skills.
