Prada unveils advanced lunar mission space suit, may be used in NASA program

Milan (Web Desk): Italian luxury fashion house Prada has unveiled a new advanced inner space suit designed for upcoming lunar missions, which is expected to be used in the United States space agency NASA’s lunar program.

The suit has been developed in collaboration with space infrastructure company Axiom Space. It features a built-in ventilation system within the fabric, along with a specialized cooling mechanism that circulates chilled water through fine channels to key areas of the body, helping astronauts maintain stable body temperature in harsh space conditions.

Prada’s Chief Marketing Officer Lorenzo Bertelli said the project is the result of combining the company’s design expertise and advanced material innovation with space engineering, and it represents an important milestone in humanity’s return to the Moon.

According to Axiom Space CEO Jonathan McDowell (as reported), the space suit is the result of multidisciplinary collaboration that no single organization could have achieved alone.

Experts say the technologically advanced suit is expected to play a crucial role in improving astronaut safety and performance during future lunar missions.
