Preparations for Bangladesh Tour Accelerate, Training Camp to Be Held in Karachi

Lahore (Sports Desk) As part of preparations for the national cricket team’s tour of Bangladesh, it has been decided to hold a training camp for the Test squad in Karachi. According to sources, players will report to the camp from April 29, while the national team will depart for Bangladesh on the night of May 3.

Sources say that consultations among national selectors are ongoing for the final selection of the Test squad, which also includes former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, who will take on the responsibilities of head coach for the upcoming series. Reports suggest that some changes are expected in the team and management, while consideration is also being given to including wicketkeeper Rohail Nazir in the series.

The two-match Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be part of the World Test Championship, with the first match scheduled to begin on May 8 in Sylhet and the second from May 16 in Dhaka. It is worth mentioning that the national team last played a Test series in October last year against South Africa.
