Lahore (Sports Desk) Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam has said that the team’s victory is a major achievement for both the franchise and himself, adding that he has managed to regain his form.
In a post-match press briefing after the PSL 11 final, he said the entire team performed brilliantly throughout the tournament, while the team management also provided full support. According to him, separate strategies were made for each match, which produced positive results.
On the other hand, Hyderabad Kingsmen captain Marnus Labuschagne said his team could not post a big total in the final, but overall their performance in the tournament remained good, and they played well in the knockout stages.
It is worth mentioning that in the PSL 11 final, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 5 wickets to win the title for the second time.
Chasing a target of 130 runs, Zalmi initially faced difficulties, and captain Babar Azam was dismissed for a duck. However, Aaron Hardy scored a brilliant 56 runs and Abdul Samad contributed 48 runs to lead the team to victory. Zalmi successfully chased the target in the 16th over with 5 wickets down.
