PTI Founder’s Contempt Plea Returned with Objection

Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar): The Supreme Court Registrar’s Office returned with objections a contempt of court petition filed by the sister of the PTI founder regarding his transfer to a hospital.

According to sources, a list of the contempt allegations against the parties was not provided with the petition.

It may be recalled that on August 22, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf filed a contempt of court petition in the Supreme Court regarding the transfer of the PTI founder to a hospital. The petition was submitted through Uzair Bhandari and Salman Akram Raja.

The petition maintained that contempt of court proceedings should be initiated over the alleged violation of the Supreme Court’s August 18, 2026 order.

The petitioners also requested that show-cause notices be issued to the alleged violators, that they be ordered to appear in person, and that the respondents be declared guilty of contempt of court and punished according to law.
