Lahore (Pakistan Khabar): The political committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approved the launch of a long march on October 4. A meeting chaired by Chairman Barrister Gohar reviewed the long march, possible federal actions concerning the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, and other political matters.
According to sources, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will launch the march from the southern districts, while after several weeks of political activities, the convoy will be brought to Islamabad. The final destination of the march will be decided later.
PTI's senior leadership has also approved the chief minister's decision to launch the march. Sources said that any federal action against the provincial government would be met with a protest response, while in case of an emergency or imposition of governor's rule, a protest outside the Governor House has been announced.
According to sources, approval has also been given to form a team of legal experts to challenge any possible federal measures in court.
