Lahore (Showbiz Desk): The Punjab government has barred eight stage actresses from performing in theatres for one month over allegations of inappropriate dancing and gestures.
According to a notification issued by the Information and Culture Department, the actresses were accused of performing inappropriate dances and making improper gestures, resulting in a one-month ban against them.
The actresses facing the ban include Mahi Rajput, Hina Sheikh, Malaika Shehzadi, Madiha Khan, Mehak Noor and Mano Multani.
In addition, Raima Mehr and Hasna Jutt will also be unable to perform in theatres for one month.
The notification directed the relevant authorities to ensure strict implementation of the decision to impose the ban.
