Doha / Beijing (Monitoring Desk): Qatar and China have expressed deep concern over rising tensions between Iran and the United States, urging all parties to show restraint, prevent further escalation, and continue diplomatic negotiations.
According to news agencies, Qatar condemned the attacks carried out by Iran on Kuwait and Bahrain, saying that such actions are harmful to regional peace and stability.
In its statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it is necessary to protect the region from the consequences of such unjustified attacks and that negotiations and diplomacy should be pursued to reduce tensions.
The ministry also emphasized the need to continue progress under the Memorandum of Understanding reached between Iran and the United States.
Meanwhile, China has also expressed concern over the growing tensions in the Middle East following U.S. attacks on multiple targets in Iran.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that restarting war in the Middle East is not in the interest of any party. She said military actions cannot resolve fundamental issues and that all countries should settle differences through negotiations and diplomatic channels.
The Chinese government urged both Iran and the United States to exercise restraint, avoid further escalation, and seek solutions to disputes through dialogue.
