Rabada Praises Wasim Akram’s Iconic 1992 World Cup Performance

Lahore (Sports Desk): South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has named legendary Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram’s outstanding bowling performance in the 1992 World Cup final among the most memorable performances of his cricketing life.

Speaking at an event in Johannesburg related to the 2027 World Cup, Kagiso Rabada said Wasim Akram’s bowling in the 1992 final against England has always inspired him, and he can never forget that memorable performance.

He said he also hopes to deliver a memorable performance like Wasim Akram’s in the future.

The 2027 World Cup will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Speaking about playing a World Cup in his home country, Rabada said participating in a World Cup on home grounds would be a unique experience, but he views the opportunity as a source of freedom rather than pressure.
