Rajesh Sharma Bitten by Insect, Condition Critical

Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Renowned Bollywood and Hindi cinema actor Rajesh Sharma was bitten by a poisonous insect during the shooting of South Indian superstar Prabhas’s upcoming film, after which his health deteriorated.

According to Indian media reports, Rajesh Sharma is currently undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria, Kolkata.

Actress Sudipa Chatterjee issued a statement on social media on behalf of Rajesh Sharma’s family, informing about his deteriorating health.

According to the statement, the incident took place at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, where the shooting of Prabhas’s film was underway. After the shooting ended, Rajesh Sharma was talking with local technical staff near dense bushes when a poisonous insect bit him.

The statement said that the actor initially considered the incident minor and did not seek immediate medical attention. However, after around six hours, he began experiencing severe pain in his right leg.

Despite his deteriorating health, he traveled to Kolkata, but during the journey he developed a high fever and his condition worsened further.

According to hospital doctors, the infection caused by the poisonous substance has spread from Rajesh Sharma’s toes up to his knee, while large blisters have also developed on his leg. He is also facing difficulty breathing.

Doctors have expressed concern that the infection could cause a blood clot to form in his leg, which could become dangerous if it travels through the bloodstream to the lungs.

Rajesh Sharma’s condition remains critical, and he is currently under medical observation.
