Rana Sana Urges PTI to Abandon Personal Interests and Engage in Talks

Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar) — Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to rise above personal interests and come forward for negotiations, saying the government’s doors remain open for dialogue. However, he said no demand can be accepted by putting the state under pressure.

Addressing a press conference, Rana Sanaullah said political uncertainty in the country began in 2014, while surrounding Islamabad had remained a prominent feature of PTI politics. According to him, the PTI is once again attempting to march toward the federal capital with the aim of creating unrest in the country.

He said political differences can only be resolved through dialogue, and therefore the PTI should set aside personal interests and work toward resolving issues. According to Rana Sanaullah, the PTI is using the resources of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, while the obstacle created in negotiations is also being portrayed incorrectly.

The prime minister’s adviser claimed that since October 4, the PTI had been able to gather only a few thousand people and that no demand could be imposed by holding the state hostage.

Regarding Afghanistan, he said a clear message had been conveyed to the Afghan government that its territory must not be allowed to be used against Pakistan.

He further said intelligence-based operations against terrorism would continue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and that the sacrifices of police and customs personnel in the fight against terrorists could not be overlooked.
