Fans noticed that Ronaldo liked a video in which allegations of alleged favoritism toward Argentina during the FIFA World Cup and helping them reach the final were made.
During the World Cup, questions had already been raised over some refereeing decisions, including a controversial decision in the match against Egypt. However, FIFA has not yet issued any official response to these allegations, while the debate on the topic continues on social media.
Meanwhile, in the World Cup final, Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in extra time to claim the world title.
At the end of the match, a heated exchange and confrontation also took place between Argentina and Spain players, after which FIFA has started an investigation. Possible action may be taken against some Argentina players or football officials in this matter.
