Islamabad (Pakistan News) The federal government has decided to allocate Rs 1.5 billion in the upcoming budget for the expansion of Parliament Lodges and the construction of additional residential facilities for members of Parliament and their families.
According to a private TV report, official documents state that the project will be completed in Sector G-5/2 of Islamabad, where new residential facilities will be provided for parliamentarians.
Under the project, additional family suites will be constructed, along with approximately 500 servant quarters, to better meet the residential needs of lawmakers.
According to official documents, the total cost of the project is estimated at Rs 7.4 billion, while expenses of Rs 2.29 billion are expected by June 30, 2026.
Officials said the project will significantly increase the capacity of Parliament Lodges and provide improved residential facilities for members of Parliament.
In addition, 104 family suites are already being constructed alongside the existing Parliament Lodges. Officials said the construction is in its final stages, with finishing work progressing rapidly.
