Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Bollywood actor Salman Khan has appealed to renowned social activist Sonam Wangchuk to end his hunger strike and advised students to return to their homes.
In support of Sonam Wangchuk, who is on a hunger strike at a hospital in solidarity with students protesting alleged paper leaks in India's NEET examinations, Salman Khan shared a message on the social media platform Instagram.
In his message, Salman Khan said that students are everyone's top priority, whether the matter concerns education or their safety. He assured students and parents that there was no need to worry.
The actor said that the Prime Minister has assured strict action, and therefore appealed to all students to return to their homes and families.
Addressing Sonam Wangchuk, Salman Khan wrote in an affectionate manner that enough was enough, urging him not to harm himself further, save his energy for the future, and eat something. He also said that if needed, he could send food from his home.
It is worth mentioning that environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk, who belongs to Ladakh, has been on a hunger strike since 28 June demanding the resignation of the Federal Education Minister over the NEET paper leak issue.
