Tehran (Sports Desk): Prominent Iranian footballer Sardar Azmoun has been removed from the national team, reportedly due to an alleged act of disloyalty.
According to Iranian media, Azmoun, who represents Shabab Al Ahli Football Club in the United Arab Emirates, posted a photo on social media showing him in a meeting with Dubai ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The post caused concern among Iranian authorities.
