SC Transfers NAB Case Hearings to Federal Constitutional Court

Islamabad (Pakistan News): The Supreme Court has issued an important decision regarding NAB cases, ruling that it does not have jurisdiction to hear NAB-related cases.

Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar announced the short order, stating that main appeals and bail applications in NAB cases will now be heard by the Federal Constitutional Court. The decision stated that the Supreme Court does not have jurisdiction under Sections 32 and 32-A of the NAB law.

According to the court's decision, all NAB-related cases falling under Articles 175-A and F of the Constitution will be considered transferred to the Federal Constitutional Court.

It is worth mentioning that PTI founder Imran Khan had also approached the Supreme Court against a High Court bail case. However, the Registrar of the Supreme Court raised objections to the petition and returned it.

Following the latest Supreme Court decision, the hearing of Imran Khan's bail-related case will also take place before the Federal Constitutional Court.
