Seminar Held to Promote Public-Private Cooperation in Defence Industry

Karachi (Commerce Desk): A significant seminar was organized under the auspices of the Defence Industrial Production Regulatory Authority (DIPRA) at the Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah, with participation from representatives of various organizations associated with the defence production sector.

The seminar was attended by government officials, defence production institutions, private sector representatives, academic institutions, and investors. The objective of the event was to further promote cooperation between the public and private sectors in Pakistan’s defence industry and strengthen joint partnerships.

In his address, the Chairman DIPRA emphasized the importance of using modern technology in the defence sector, enhancing local capabilities, and making public-private collaboration more effective.

He stated that the establishment of a strong, competitive, and self-reliant defence industry would not only help meet the country’s defence requirements but also play an important role in increasing defence exports and supporting economic growth.

During the seminar, panel discussions were held on opportunities in the global defence market, prospects for industrial cooperation, and measures to increase exports of defence products.

Participants discussed improving the regulatory framework, promoting investment, and expanding the local production of defence products.

The Chairman DIPRA thanked all stakeholders and expressed hope that the seminar would prove to be a positive step toward increasing Pakistan’s defence exports and promoting the growth of the industry.
