Tehran (Monitoring Desk): An investigation is underway into the disclosure of sensitive information regarding U.S. military weapons stockpiles to the media during the war with Iran. U.S. officials have conducted lie detector tests on approximately 50 military officers and civilian personnel to trace the source of the leaked information.
According to U.S. media reports, personnel affiliated with the U.S. Department of Defense Joint Staff were questioned in August and were also subjected to lie detector tests.
The primary objective of the investigation is to identify the sources of information regarding the depletion of U.S. wartime stockpiles. The information also includes details about reductions in stocks of long-range missiles and missiles used for Patriot missile defense systems.
