Shailene Woodley’s All Spider-Man 2 Scenes Cut Before Release

Shailene Woodley’s All Spider-Man 2 Scenes Cut Before Release

New York (Showbiz Desk) — Hollywood actress Shailene Woodley has revealed that she played the role of Mary Jane Watson in the 2014 film “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” but all of her scenes were removed before the film’s release.

In a recent conversation, the actress said Spider-Man was her favorite superhero and Mary Jane had been her favorite character since childhood, so she was very happy to get the role in the film.

According to Shailene Woodley, she filmed around three scenes with Andrew Garfield. However, about a year later, she was informed by phone that she would no longer be part of the film.

The actress said she was told that several new characters were already being added to the film, so the filmmakers wanted to complete the story of Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy and Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker. The plan was to introduce Mary Jane in the next film.

However, the third film in Andrew Garfield’s “The Amazing Spider-Man” series was never made, which ended the plan to bring Shailene Woodley back as Mary Jane.

Recalling the incident, the actress jokingly said that perhaps there was another reason and maybe her acting had been so bad that the filmmakers decided to remove her from the film.
