Islamabad (Commerce Desk) Even before the federal budget announcement, a significant increase has been observed in solar panel prices across the country, leaving consumers and those interested in investing in solar energy concerned.
According to market sources, prices of different capacity solar panels have increased by Rs 7,000 to Rs 9,000 per panel, resulting in a noticeable rise in overall costs.
Reports show that a 585-watt solar panel, previously available for around Rs 18,000, has now surged to Rs 27,000. Similarly, the price of a 645-watt panel has increased from Rs 22,000 to Rs 31,200, while a 720-watt panel has risen from Rs 25,000 to Rs 33,500.
Market stakeholders say that not only solar panels but also inverters may see price hikes, which could further increase the overall cost of solar energy systems.
