New Delhi (Sports Desk) Shashank Singh, the all-rounder of the Punjab Kings, and his father are facing legal difficulties.
According to Indian media reports, a case has been registered in Bhopal against Shashank Singh, his retired police officer father Shailesh Singh and a driver over allegations of assault and verbal abuse against a domestic worker.
According to the police, the case has been registered at the Ratibad Police Station and includes charges related to the use of abusive language, causing minor physical injury and committing an offence with common intention.
The complainant, Vipendra Singh Tomar, stated that he was employed by the Singh family on June 25 as a cook with a monthly salary of 15,000 rupees.
According to him, strict behaviour was adopted towards him from the very first day of employment and his mobile phone was also taken into possession.
The complainant alleged that when he asked for the return of his phone on June 28, Shailesh Singh refused, after which Shashank Singh, his father and the driver assaulted him, abused him and expelled him from the house.
He further claimed that he was also forced to transfer one thousand rupees in the name of accommodation and food expenses.
