Islamabad (Pakistan Desk) – Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi has said that effective and comprehensive reforms in the prison system are an urgent need of the time.
Addressing a national conference on prison reforms, he said that the provincial government is taking practical steps to improve jail security systems and ensure the provision of basic facilities, including healthcare, to inmates.
Sohail Afridi added that several initiatives are also underway to improve the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in order to establish a safer and more stable environment in the province.
